What we represent
Buttercup Venues represents a hand-picked collection of Los Angeles commercial spaces — warehouses, studios, galleries, gyms, historic properties, showrooms, and furnished and unfurnished offices.
We work with ad and experiential agencies, brands, producers, production companies, location scouts and photographers. We don't host weddings, birthdays, hourly rentals, or student films at our venues.

This is what sets us apart
Most venue searches in Los Angeles end the same way: a marketplace listing, an owner who has never hosted a production, and a set of surprises that surface on load-in day. Buttercup Venues was built to remove that risk. We represent our properties exclusively, which means we know each space personally — its power, its access, its neighbors, and its limits — and we stand behind what we tell you about it.
A curated portfolio
Our collection is built with a photographer's and director's eye for character, light, and narrative potential. Inspiring backdrops unavailable on mainstream platforms, from retro bowling alleys to polished art galleries.
Unmatched LA locations
Our portfolio spans the most sought-after neighborhoods, including Culver City, the Arts District, DTLA, Hollywood, and Santa Monica, providing the perfect setting for your vision.
Production-ready spaces
We understand the demands of a high-stakes event or a complex film shoot. Our venues are vetted for operational readiness, ensuring a seamless experience for producers, agencies, and brand teams.
One point of contact, start to finish
You work directly with our principals from the first call through load-out. No account handoffs, no listing owners of varying reliability, no chasing an inbox for permission to bring in a lift. Our founders bring 75+ years of combined experience across the Los Angeles photo, film, and event world, so the person answering your brief has produced the kind of day you are planning.
More Than a Venue. A Production Partner.
That combination — exclusive spaces, verified infrastructure, and direct representation — is why brand teams, agencies, and production companies come back to us for the projects that cannot afford a bad location. Whether you need a 2,500-square-foot storefront for a two-week pop-up or a 150,000-square-foot warehouse compound for a multi-day build, we match the property to the project and manage the complexities: permits, parking, power, and the logistics that decide whether a shoot day or an event night runs on schedule. It is the difference between renting a room and having a partner who has already solved the problems your project has not hit yet.

You're not just getting access to premium locations

Frequently Asked Questions
What does Buttercup Venues do?
Buttercup Venues is a curated location agency in Los Angeles representing 290+ exclusive properties for filming, photo shoots, and brand events. We are not a booking platform — we represent our properties directly, and clients work with our principals from the first call through load-out.
What kinds of projects do you work on?
Commercials, television productions, feature films, documentaries, photography shoots, and music videos on the filming side; brand activations, product launches, pop ups, keynotes, album releases, corporate and live music events on the events side. We work with commercial clients only — no weddings, anniversaries, or private parties.
Which Los Angeles neighborhoods do you cover?
Every neighborhood producers and brand teams ask for — Hollywood, DTLA, the Arts District, Culver City, Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, Boyle Heights, West Hollywood, Westwood, El Segundo, and the Port of Los Angeles among others — plus a mid-century estate in Palm Springs.
How is Buttercup different from a venue marketplace?
Marketplaces list publicly available spaces and leave you to negotiate with individual owners. We represent our portfolio exclusively, which means many of our properties never appear on any public platform, and one team handles scouting, terms, logistics, and the day itself.
How much does it cost to book a venue in Los Angeles?
Event days generally run $15,000 to $75,000 and shoot days $10,000 to $60,000, depending on the property and production impact, with prep and strike days billed lower. We book full-day and multi-day use only, and every quote is built for the specific project.
How far in advance should I book?
A few weeks to a few months for ordinary dates, three to six months for strong dates, and twelve months or more for peak windows such as award season and major sporting events. Send us the brief as early as you can and we will tell you honestly what is realistic.
